  1. A lot of misremembering with the Jets. Board says they haven't won a round since 2018 but they swept the Oilers a few years back before getting swept by Montreal.

  2. Hey @TheHockeyGuy Winnipeg Jets Won against Edmonton in the playoffs in 2021 the lost to Montreal. Please submit a correction.

  3. Jets fans stop pointing 2021 was the last time you won a series, 2021 never happened what the Canadiens did, never happened.

THG is simply trying to help out

  4. I feel like Winnipeg winds up in the same place they were last year within their own division. Missing the playoffs would be devastating result in calls for a retooling, either from fans or management.

  5. Guys the fact that Shannon forgot the last time the jets won a round AND it’s his wife’s favorite team means They just suck 😂 I’m sorry fans of the Jets but the hockey gods have made you destined to be mids for a decade

  6. This Jets team may have lost Dubois to a trade and Wheeler is gone to the Rangers, but Winnipeg is a playoff team. I think they'll do better this season. Let's hope they don't fall apart this season

  7. the floodgates are open in winnipeg for a couple of months now. the culture change Rick Bonehead i mean Bowness brought in when they removed the C on Wheeler has paid well. the post-season interviews were great also !
Jets are still in for the playoffs wildcard race tho: too much talent. you can only pray they hire Bruce before the playoffs, they could be going for a run.

  8. As a Jets fan first and foremost, just wanna talk a minute about another Manitoba product. Mr. Zack Whitecloud from the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, while having his turn with the Stanley Cup in his hometown, did one of the most Manitoba things with it. He took it to a 7/11 in Brandon and filled it with Slurpee ( Coke flavour I believe ). There was also celebrating with a drum circle, PowWow dancers, fresh bannock, the Cup pulled around in a horse drawn carriage. Gotta love a hometown hero!!
As for the Jets, I’m totally optimistic. I see lots of talented forwards…it’s this defence that im not so sure about. Bones back for round 2! Bring on the season!!!

  9. They are huge team with one of the best goalies in the league. They need to play to their advantages more. They have alot to be proud of and they need something to keep their confidence up.

  10. Ehlers and Connor I wanna be clear. To me, for this offense to actually get anywhere, Scheifele (spelling) has a part to play in this, but Ehlers NEEDS to be healthy and on it, and so does Kyle Connor if this team is going to do anything.

  11. Perfetti and Vilardi will need to take a step forward in their development if they plan on remaining a playoff team. Staying healthy will help a lot too. Two years in a row Perfetti had an injury end his season.

  12. After seeing that disgusting playoff effort last year I am rooting for their downfall unfortunately.

  13. The Jets are competing with the Blues for the playoffs, so I can’t say I’m rooting for them. But if they fall short of a deep playoff run this year, I think they have to take a look in the mirror. They are one of those teams like Nashville and Calgary who need to start moving forward towards winning some rounds.

  14. Hot take: Winnipeg ends up dealing Scheifele and Hellebuyck at the deadline but get strong hauls in return and end up bringing in more players in the summer and having their best season yet in their short history next year.

  15. It's clear Hellebuyck and Scheifele don't want to be here. I think that cloud will be over the team this year and hold them back. 5th in the Central with 83-88 points.

  16. If 55 and 37 are around, they should do no worse than the past season. If traded, they could be better depending on who comes here. If it’s for up and coming younger players or draft picks, they would be in rebuild mode. I am curious to see how the former LA additions pan out here. Here’s to hoping!🤣

  17. I really wish you'd have used that empty space on the right for your projections of the lineups

  18. I like how the Jets did not have to add depth players through free agency this year, instead drafted and developed players are filling those depth positions. Hernri Nikkanen, Daniel Torgersson. It will be interesting to see if Chaz Lucious makes the squad, outside long shot Brad Lambert makes the squad at some point this season. In am hopeful for next season. How improved are David Gustafsson and Cole Pefetti. There is a small boatload of young prospects in the future I am liking. 2 strong candidates in net but still 3-4 years away. 19 and 20 year olds. Just maintain the draft and develop philosophy and stock pile draft picks.

  19. Not saying it won’t happen but jets will be lucky if any of the players they got for Dubois stay long term.

  20. excited to see if the new players mold with the team . a ton of questions about if more trades are going to be made . going to finish 4th or 5th . go jets go

  21. Winnipeg has a great fanbase that deserves better. This team should be scrapping for a wildcard spot if their dressing room doesn't implode and spark a rebuild.

  22. I am primarily a Senators fan, but I lived in Winnipeg for a while and consider it my second home. Thus I follow the Jets as well as a secondary team. I really hope they can get something accomplished this year.

  23. Without Helleybuck they’re toast. They might want to trade him while still valuable, or Scheifele but then they might need to add 1-2 difference-makers. Those additions would have to be good players that end up playing great and fitting in.
