    Too bad injuries derailed Sven Baertschi's career. Could easily have been consistent 20-25 goals per season

    Not "nominee". I mean I know you cover mostly Canadian teams but C'mon now. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

    I hate rumors that are based off made up scenarios because there's nothing to talk about.

    Couturier is not getting traded, even if he comes back to form scoring 30 goals / 70 points and top defensive forward. Will teams be interested? Sure, but they are all going to want the Hayes treatment…50% retained for a minimum return and it's not worth it for the Flyers. Making changes for the sake of change is the worst thing a GM can do for a team in "rebuild" mode. The same can be said about Konecny, Hart or Laughton, if they are not receiving any worthwhile assets to help then it's completely pointless.

    Nylander needs to be traded…Leafs have to end the core 4 formula. The experiment has become too expensive.

    Re: Matthews…..Leafs get him for 4 years and he still has 1 year left so bottom line Leafs have him for the next 5 years. That's the Leafs' Cup window!!! No question about it. I can't imagine they will be able to afford both Nylander and Marner now they've given in to Matthew's exorbitant salary demand. Something has to give here.
    Re: Nylander and his contract…. it's BS for these players to be whining about "so and so's contract is more than mine" or "I should be making more than that guy"…..Willy & Mitch….how many frickin Cups have you won???? NONE!!! That's the one intangible that gets you that extra contract $$$ and you guys and Matthews have done SQUAT!!!! That's what makes MacKinnon, Crosby, Bergeron, etc etc "THAT GUY"!!!! They make everyone else around them better and that intangible quality wins Cups. The "core 4" has done jack!!!! Leafs folded by giving Matthews the big $$$ and so now the pattern is set for little Willy and Mitch….they can't afford all 4 of those guys!!!!
