To give him some credit, what he lacks in ability as a defender he does bring back in leadership. The helmet throw obviously changed something with the team. Luckily I think the giveaways are fixable. Probably won't ever be worth $8mil strictly as a player, but I'm still happy to have him overall.

At 8 million he has definitely been overpaid for production for sure. Not sure he is the best defenseman on his line. He hits big so he has a cult following but terrible value that’s for sure.
Truba sucks he is worth about 1.5 mil
All in all, he is a terrible acquisition. He's a defensive liability as a defenseman. How does that jive? And for the money he's being paid. The only reason I was happy he was made captain is that the Rangers have a habit of trading them.
