Yvon était l’analyste (aux côtés de Pierre Houde) quand j’ai commencé à suivre le CH religieusement. Le Québec perd un grand, peu importe l’opinion qu’on pouvait avoir sur son travail!

Very sorry to read this today. I knew Yvon professionally as we were both sports reporters covering the Habs more than 40 years ago. Sad news today.

J’me sens presque mal d’avoir partir l’Anti fan club de Pierre et Yvon y’a 15 ans en voyant ça. Triste nouvelle!

Awwww CRAP! RIP Yvon. He was the voice of the Habs for me through the first half of my life. Growing up in Toronto, I tuned into the AM radio feed for games to try to improve my French, and soon became an addict for all his goofiness between the plays. He was *so fun* to listen to! I remember his tradition of singing along to the Val-de-Ri song on the organ with gusto, and making Mario Tremblay dissolve into tears of laughter (and made me, too!) Somewhere in my pile of hoarding junk, I have a couple of games that I taped off the radio back in the 90s, with at least one Val-de-Ri captured. I’ll have to see if I can dig it up one of these days.

Triste… mais par contre, il n’a pas été à RDS pendant quelques années? Plutôt petit de Quebecor de ne pas le mentionner…
