Auston Matthews announced via his own Twitter that he is staying with the Toronto Maple Leafs for another four seasons. Auston Matthews deserves this contract; he’s a sixty-goal scorer, which doesn’t come around often. But with that being said, Matthews got exactly what he wanted: a short-term deal that resets the market and, more importantly, allows him to cash in once again at 31.
