I’m a graphic and sports designer creating a series of new / revised jersey sets for each NHL team.
The Home and Away jerseys have been tweaked slightly to be more bold. The Home jersey is a refresh of a concept I created when the team’s uniforms were first revealed. It features a subtle deep sea gradient, wave / tentacle patterning on the sleeves, and a fishhook captain’s patch.
The 1st Alternate features the anchor logo on the chest, and showcases the bright icy blue as the primary color.
The 2nd Alternate is a modern throwback to the Seattle Metropolitans, the first United States team to win the Stanley Cup. The crest is a slightly modernized version of the Metro’s logo with a varsity letter felt texture. Also, on the chest, the captain’s C sits within an emerald cut patch representing the “Emerald City” of Seattle. The icy blue stripes feature a wave stitch pattern. And the collar is a classic sweater knit style.

Love them! Nice tweaks to the home and away! Would love to see them do the anchor as the centerpiece on an alternate. Not sure I love the S and K as designed. If I could get my hands on the Metropolitans one, I would take out the credit card right now

I love the idea of the gradient. But I feel like the specific color there is too much like the Sharks teal. If the color were tweaked to be less reminiscent of them I’d be all over the gradient design.

I’m hoping we get something similar to that 2nd alternate for the upcoming Winter Classic, would love a Metropolitans throwback. Also the fish hook shape on the font for the Captain’s C path is awesome.

They look great, especially the Metropolitans-inspired one . One critique I have is the small designs inside the sleeves. It just feels like an unnecessary addition just to put something in there, sometimes less is more. The Metropolitans one is fine though, it’s just the other 3. But overall they look great!

I normally hate gradients on a hockey jersey, but the top left idea actually works with the whole ocean/nautical theme of the team

Something I’ve been wondering for a while, when are the Kraken officially allowed to issue a third jersey (not reverse retro)? I thought I read somewhere it’s during or after their third season, like Vegas, but I am not sure about that.
