The problem with the Flyers isn't "corporate culture". The problem with the Flyers is sitting in the C Suite in the form of Bob Clarke. You can only sell the "Flyers family" and "promote from within" tropes when you are winning championships, which the Flyers last did in a time when AMC Gremlins clogged America's highways. As long as this team clings to a past in which a great deal of their current fan base wasn't even alive, they'll get nowhere. You can only blame the outgoing GMs for so long until you realize who in fact is the real problem.
