I’d say at least 110 pts seems accurate

    I think under.

He’s as talented as almost any 110 point player in the league.

It’s just that Auston has generally gotten more points from goals than assists, and goals are way harder to rack up than assists.

If he can play at least 80 games tho, that might change things.

Under 110, but over a 110 point pace. Matthews rarely plays a full season but something like 102 points in 74 games seems pretty plausible to me

110 is definitely achievable for him, but my concern is him playing a full season. He’s only done that once in his career so far.

He can hit 110 if he stays healthy all year (biggest challenge IMO) and if Bertuzzi/Knies/Domi fit in on 1st line LW and develop good chemistry with Auston.

He has the hockey IQ, play making and shooting abilities, gets the ice time, and we have the depth to get him favourable match ups. Just a matter of health and his new line mate clicking.

Over, i think with the addition of bert and/or domi, they’ll spice his assists significantly

Under, but that isn’t a bad thing. I don’t think Matthews will ever lead the league in total scoring like McDavid, but he’s good for 50 goals, 100 pts, and postive impacts in the defensive end. He’s everything I want me #1 centre to be (if my centre isn’t Connor McDavid haha).

Neither. But scores 110 goals and 0 assists.

Four goals a game will be named The Matt Trick

I’d probably take the under but I think it’ll be close. Hope that I’m wrong and he gets the over

  11. under,

he’s got his bumper contract, no pressure to perform now

seriously though, 90 points for me

  12. Under seems like a good bet. I think he’Ll get 50 goals but 102-105 points is a max for him I think

    UNDER.

Barring any injuries, I will say AM ends up around 100.

Not a Leafs fan, but, love the Bertuzzi/Domi elements that can impact the temperature of the game and generate offence. Looking more well rounded. Flyers fan lol…..it’s a long dark period of shame….

110? I’ll take the under, as much as I’d love for him to get the over

  16. TayOs1998

I’ll take the under unless he’s 100% healthy I just don’t see him doing it

Lol at people thinking one off year due to injuries means he sucks suddenly. When he puts up Mackinnon numbers next to nylander and Marner the storyline is gonna swing. Just watch

I’m going to say just under, like less than 10 under…between 101 and 109.

    I’m going with over.

This is about how I sum up AM in the coming season. He’s had a ‘down’ year offensively, but is hitting the height of his physical prime. New contract. Nothing to worry about but that fuckin’ puck. Probably a bit bitter about last year’s playoffs. Surrounded by more physical presence.

    I predict a career year from AM. 65G 60A 125PTs in ~80 games.
