  1. Although the Sharks have been looking terrible lately, it's not the end of the world if they can turn their game around by mid December-January. In 08-09, they had a crazy start of like 21-3-1 or something like that, only to lose in the 1st round. In 12-13 they had a 7-0-0 start and in 13-14 they had a 6-0-0 start and set the record for only team to have back to back 6-0 starts. However, both seasons ended badly. The next year, they had a decent start and completely missed the playoffs. 15-16 was probably the first time in awhile they had a rough start and were 20-18-2 at one point, but then had an excellent run in the playoffs. Basically, if they can peak closer to the post season, they should have a much greater chance at success.
