Should the Canucks name a captain for the upcoming season? And if so, who should it be?

    I think the public knows it should be Hughes, but Alvin might not like it because of Hughes speaking up about Pearson's hand and Schenn being traded. Tocchet may be forced to pick someone else.

    Do you think the Canucks will have a captain this season? I think they might choose to play a full season without one and see who naturally emerges as leader. However I’d like to see JT Miller as captain. Say what you want about him, but he’s my favourite current Canuck and he’s always honest and hold himself accountable in front of the media

    JT & Hughes share it?!
    I still expect Boeser to take much more responsibility in the team to fill the gap after Horvart left.

    “Brock is an interesting guy because I know there’s another level there,” said Tocchet. “If he plays a really good game without the puck, all that other stuff is going to come. He told me he’s going to be in stronger shape to play in traffic and come out of the corner with the puck.
    “If he gets to another level, he could be a force for us. He has to play a little more predictable and know where to go. I saw him chase down a loose puck for an empty-net goal. I’ve never seen a faster guy. So, it’s there.”
    And so is renewed confidence. Can Boeser be a consistent 30-goal guy?
    “I know I can be, 1,000 per cent,” he stressed. “I can be one of the top guys here, and that’s my mindset is to prove what I can be.”

    Pettersson swede management likes there swedes Distaster if Miller isna captain players will leaved after there contracts are up

    I think it should be hughes, but for now, J.T. is just that bit more mature and if there was a captain this season it should be him. I however would go with 4 assistants this year.
