What Happened To This Guy?

OK Guys, its time to take a look at 2017 7th overall pick of the New York Rangers… Lias Andersson. Who was just freshly signed by the Montreal Canadiens during free agency.. Why did this guy fail to crack an NHL team since being drafted? Lets chat about it!

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. lol hudon! what a throwback
he was the definition of a fringe nhler. i was rooting for him.

lias andersson will be a plesant surprise. low risk, high reward.
if it dosnt make dollars, it dosnt make sense.
our team is looking to be right on track with the rebuild.

    NO SHORTCUTS

  2. Looks more like his uncle than like his father on the ice. If Montreal use him like Tampa Bay used Alumni Mikael A. it can work out well. He was a shut down forward. His father Niklas A. was more off a offensive forward. Most goals ever in the local SHL Team. Because his old man was the local GOAT the kid had to leave home and go play for a SHL team 5 hours away. Just to avoid the preasure och living up to the name. I played against his uncle a few times as a teen and new him a little. We had a few friends in common. Back then it was a man playing against boys. He was a beast already at 15. Not as fast as Lias old man but strong, tuff and mobile. He was fully grown at 16. Not really big as an adult. I dont remember ever getting past him. The kid can probably develop into a good shut down guy aswell if he can transition into that roll from dominating in juniors and AHL. But today evrything is about point production.

  3. Gorton has done a lot of great things for the Rangers but one of the reasons they weren’t able to go all the way is sub-par drafting/development. It’s too soon to say if the Gorton/Hughes duo will be different from a draft/development success perspective. So far, drafting Slafkovsky and Reinbacher has created a lot of controversy and differing opinions, including keeping Slafkovsky in the NHL at 18 years… so it’s a matter of a wait and see if their decisions will prove to be what Montreal needed to have better success than what the Rangers have been able to achieve thus far.

  4. He hasn't been the same since he tripped on that camera cable…. Maybe he needs to see the same doctor who worked on Anderson, Caufield and Xhekaj…. 😉

  5. Junkie, i think we might be related man! lol. Like brothers, one of us got taken at birth! lol. ya, i aint expecting shit from Andersson, so like u said, if he does do anything, pleasant surprise!! lol. We NEED some offense!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I think he may be a surprise. He was a stud for Sweden, Playing under coach Saint Louis could be the difference. We are slowly turning into the team of failed experiments and misfits who get one last chance to reinvent themselves. If Kirby Dach can do it. So can Lias.
