any guesses on who the next captain will be after okposo is gone? I'd like Skinner to wear the C personally, dude is a certified leader with a long contract so he isn't going anywhere.
I think there are already too many names up there for a 53 year old franchise with no Cups. Fill the Sabres Hall of Fame and leave the retired numbers for truly great players. The French Connection and Hasek are really the only ones deserving of rafter banner/number retirement.

A lot of banners hanging in that arena for a team with 2 conference championships. It should be Perrault Hasek and RJ and that’s it!

There shouldn't be any more uniform retirement ceremonies for a few more years. We need a Stanley Cup Banner up there before any more player numbers! But when the Sabres do think of the next number to retire, it should be Craig Ramsay's #10. He once set the NHL record for most consecutive games played (776), won the Selke Trophy (1984-85), spent his entire 14-year career with Buffalo, playing 1070 games with 252 goals, 420 assists & 672 points. He was the last NHL player to go an entire season (78 games – 1973-74) without earning any minutes in penalties whatsoever. This is who deserves that honour next!!
