Class of 2023 guard Jared McCain has amassed a huge social media following, but has proven time and time again that he can REALLY hoop, too. McCain, who will be heading to Duke following his high school career at Corona Centennial (CA), had a huge summer playing for Team USA in the U18 World Cup and Team WhyNot on the EYBL circuit,

  1. His lowest ceiling is like a Cory Joseph like how he was at Findlay Prep, then a NBA champion with the Spurs and still hooping in the NBA

  2. Like to see Scheyer's vision for Duke prioritizing SHOOTERS more than they have in the past. It's been a weakness ever since Grayson Allen and Luke Kennard moved on to the big show (all do respect to Matthew Hurt, I'm not going to include anyone on a roster than finished 13-11 and got the distinction of being the first team that didn't make the NCAA tourney since 1995).

    Seeing that ugly game against NC St. put a spotlight on what shooting means to the modern game. Smith and Joiner just going lights out and hitting everything while we were sourcing the latest skyscraper project with all the bricks was painful. Bring in deadly snipers –> the entire offense, inside and out, becomes Dixie Chix' level "wide open spaces."
