I like the hawks the most, but that oilers team would fucking savage any other team in history

  2. micropterus_dolomieu

Putting aside my personal feelings about the Blackhawks, their 2010-2015 teams were very, very good, but not on the same level as the other teams listed here. The only reason the Islanders stopped winning Cups was because the Oilers started winning them. Perhaps the same could be said for the Canadiens and Islanders too.

    Edited for grammar.

  3. One-EyedLarry

How are the 98-2002 (or 08) Red Wings not in here?

  4. Kyreese1999

The Edmonton Oilers. No doubt about that.

  5. BubbaSpanks

Edmonton they were a freaking monster on the ice

  6. DK-Robari

Hawks are my favorite for sure but the best is probably Oilers

  7. ButtholeQuiver

Only one dynasty has won five consecutive cups, and they’re not on this list?

  8. Vj1224love

None of the above. 1997-2008 Red Wings (4 cups)

  9. TheTipIsEnuff

No way those Black Hawks belong in the same conversation as the other three teams.

Oilers were the greatest team in history…. and Canadiens and Islanders were just incredible.

I’m so blessed that was right when I was a kid. Got to follow all of that and saw dynasties and the top players kill it.

Even as a Leafs fan…. we all loved Guy Lafleur and Ken Dryden as kids. And Denis Potvin and Mike Bossy.

Of course… it was a bit later but Gretzky destroyed all records after a wave of those prior dynasties and put to rest who is the best.

All due respect to Habs and NYI….. Oilers are the best ever. Because they had the Great One.

  11. GeneralPip

Including Hawks and not the Pens is unacceptable.

  12. Demo541

The 02 red wings were like the most stacked team in history. I’ll take them any day.

  13. Oiler_boiler

2010 Blackhawks were an amazing team but not a dynasty

  14. NotAMacaw

70s Habs. 6 Cups in 9 years? No one is ever going near that.

  15. Chicago on this list and Tampa off it is a curious choice.

  16. KRONGOR

I feel like Sid’s penguins should also be on this list

  17. Substantial-Big5497

Billy Smith, the first goalie to score a goal. The grinders that can score eh? They can beat anybody. The roster, the D and the competition Bobby Clarke? Played bullies. Beat Oulers.

  18. Boring_Pace5158

The Hawks, because they played in a tougher league with more competition, much more parity. We could easily be talking about the Kings dynasty or the Bruins dynasty. The Penguins, Capitals, Canucks, even the Sharks and Predators were legitimate contenders during this time. They had to get through multiple good teams to win the Cup.

Other dynasties didn’t play in a competitive league, there was a massive drop off in talent once you go beyond them. Outside of the Bruins & Flyers who else could challenge the 1970’s Habs? The Flyers of the 1980’s were the only ones who could take Gretzky’s Oilers to the limit.

If late 90s – 2000s Wings aren’t a dynasty there is no way Chicago was.

  20. GreenEyedBandit

I want to say the Hawks, but it’s the Oilers.

That 2013 team was an absolute wagon though.

  21. cheezturds

Get the Hawks off this list and put the 95-09 Wings on here. 4 cups, 6 appearances, no missed playoff appearances.

  22. donny_chang

The blackhawks didnt win any of those in a row so they dont count.
