my problem with miller is,he admitted that he and petey didn't like each other. ha said they were completely different players. he did say that he was working on getting along with petey.. i believe a captain should be a player's captain. if the captain is only an on ice captain, then just go with 4 alternates. captain's used to be picked by the players. congrats on 500 subscribers. good luck to 1000.
ACCOUNTABILITY~~ JT Miller as an accountable guy? He is emotional, even colourful, but he drops the ball (or puck in this case), and smashes his stick, then glares at his own teammates on the bench. Is that leadership or accountability? And that is without the press and fans looking to him for answeres. The Canucks don't need a colourful captain, just need one that can deal with the locker room, the fan base, and the media for a whole season (and playoffs ;)). The captain's job is not to entertain us with snappy coments, it is to help the team win! My vote is for Quinn. Can have Mr. Miller as an assistant with Petterson. Should then have a letter on the ice for most of the situations the team would find themselves in need.

Im 100% on the Hughes captaincy bandwagon. Would JT Miller be exciting and interesting to watch for interviews? Sure. But I don't think this team needs an "exciting" captain. I think we're better off with a strong, reliable, dedicated, hard working guy who leads by example and leaves it all on the ice every single night. And I think that's Quinn.
Definitely want a Captain that wants to be here and help the team win. Also a Cap that shows emotions when loosing and doesn’t except weak play!
That is JT!! Yes some would say he is over dramatic and yes he has been but under Tocchet he calmed down but still play with emotion and grit! I believe the ‘C’ will make him control himself a bit more but not loose his passion.
Am I wrong or is he a bit like Kessler who also played with tons of passion and hated loosing!
Hughes, Boeser, or Garland
i think it would be smart to give it to petterson. hes not happy because the team is losing. hes the best player on the team, let him lead by example and put some responsibility on his shoulders. it could change his attitude and the culture in the dressing room.
JT Miller is my pick as well. I like Pettersson and Hughes but I don't think they are suited for the captaincy. Ideally I want someone whom the team will rally behind. I see that fieriness and passion in Miller, and we know he's in this for the long haul. Thanks Trev!
