people forget that the oilers went 9-1-1 to end the season… the oilers were the hottest team going into the playoffs, it was the goaltending that let them down, not the defence. having ekholm for a full year should definitely calm down young guys like broberg and vinny.
I would agree ekholm became Edmontons best defence man but that’s also not very hard to do. He will hopefully make our whole defence better as a whole this year
I think the elephant in the room and the last puzzle piece not yet address is goaltending. Skinner is developing well but is he the 1a after one year? Unfortunately Campbell isn't consistent. The Oilers need a top seasoned goalie now while the top of the line up is still all together. We cannot win a cup without a solid goalie.
