The dangle, the fake, this goal wouldn’t be out of place today!

Ugh, that was really nice. Raymond Bourque is my alltime favourite player and got fuckin nutmegged by Brad May. I have respect for May, guy was a warrior every game I saw him play. But he usually used his hands for nose breaking, not deking out norris trophy candidates.

Still gets me going. May on a roll was an awesome sight. Great call by Rick. RIP.

I’m old, I watched this game live. It was a brutal kick to the nuts at the time.

  5. I loved this as a 12 year old Habs fan for many reasons. Our achilles heel the Bruins were out, you had Brad fuckin’ May deking Ray Bourque out of his skates, and Rick Jeanneret with the call.

That defending by a captain and Avalanche legend. Woof!

That pass from laying down on the ice was clutch as fuck too.

Due to the embellishment of that celebration, the goal doesn’t count.

Great dek on Bourque, but that is some shitty goaltending.

  10. From a Hawks fan, RIP RJ. Between him, Doc, and Pat Foley all retiring the last few years, some things just aren’t the same.

I wasn’t around when this happened, but I grew up playing mini sticks during Sabres games with Rick calling the games with Jim. I will always be a Sabres fan, not to mention the fact that I got to talk to him in an elevator at a Sabres game! Class act on the mic, even better in person. You will never be forgotten <3

That guy in #77, what a punk! /s

I swear I’ve been watching this on loop for 10 minutes before I even write this. Absolutely classic call and I remember it when it happened. RIP rJ
