Unlocking the Power Angles ft. Tyler Steen

On the night the Philadelphia Eagles drafted, Barrett Brooks mentioned that Tyler Steen needed to unlock his power angles. I agree, and this video will go over exactly what he was talking about.

  1. Nice vid. That slo-mo of (Byron Jones?) the player broad jumping 11 feet, I wonder what that feels like. I was watching an old King of the Hill episode the other day. Bobby jumped about 2 inches when he tried. I was never much better. Per Steen, am hoping all this translates. Very informative. How do you know this stuff?

Not only do I love how good Stout is working with young players, but he has 10 secret bullet points for OL re: drafting. Would've loved if Tippman had made it to the Eagles range. But the more I watch Steen, the more he grows on me.

If Stout turns Tyler into a Year 1 starter at RG without missing "much of a beat" losing Seumalo, it'll be incredibly impressive — and ridiculously valuable. Not preferable to have your '21 second-round pick sitting for most of his second year. But Howie knows that. Kelce is too valuable, though. Still, this has to be his last season. I love prioritizing the trenches; however, there was serious talent in the early-60s when taking Tyler. If he's a serviceable RG in Year 1 and average-to-above average in Year 2, then it's a solid pick. But if he can become "good" for the majority of the deal, it'll cement Howie as a draftnik. Would be an incredible career arc, since everyone always equates him with Danny Watkins, Marcus Smith and Reagor.

Obviously, Reagor's fair game. He was a horrid pick. But he got the franchise QB in the next round. Not to mention, the 2018 draft haul is one of the most impressive ones I've ever seen. Turning 49, 125, 128 and 250 into Goedert, Sweat, Maddox and Mailata, like insane. But the Marcus Smith crap is just that. Chip pigeonholed him into a weird box. And Danny was like a decade ago at this point. All execs miss some picks.

  2. Do you think that his short arms lead to him lunging forward to create contact?

What do you think of the safety battle? This is ny biggest fear going into this season
