Oh the irony
money talks, on both ends of that deal.
Love this
That Wednesday crossover episode will be pretty interesting. Not sure if Dodd or Don Taylor will be able to get a word in during the hour! 😂
Get fucked, Sekeres.
Love this for them. Hopefully this means less Ryan Henderson🤞
Winners all around, even us pleb consumers.
I interpret this like SN650 is not doing well and its trying to spruce things up…..which is pretty funny. I still won’t listen. Sports radio has been dead to me for years.
Oh how the turn tables…
D&D secured the bag AND big networks are struggling so bad that they have to come crawling back to the local guys they fucked over. Love every bit of this.
Michael Scott Paper Company
They also announced Jeff Paterson is not a recurring guest on D&D anymore and Dhali won’t go on Sekeres&Price again
That’s interesting since the Canucks basically blacklisted them last season after their Rutherford interview went off the rails.
When it was TSN1040 I listened to Halford and Brough every day and almost always listened to Taylor and Moj (although Moj was often unbearable with his boomer takes). Everything else I shut off immediately (looking at you Sekeres and Price show). So it’ll be nice to have Don Taylor back again and Dhali is often unintentional comic relief.
Good news
Based on the tweet I can’t tell if SN650 will be streaming Donnie and Dhali’s Chek show every weekday or if they just signed an exclusivity deal where they make their regular radio “hits”. Don Taylor was already a regular weekly contributor on Canucks Central with Riccio and Shah and Dhali would make infrequent radio hits on 650 when there is Canucks news.
Don Taylor did reply to a question on twitter saying that they would still be on Chek. Will their shows just be simulcast on SN650 and Chek every weekday?
I’m hoping this doesn’t mean they lose their home on Chek. Honestly I’ve been pretty stoked that we’ve had coverage that has been independent and not under the umbrage of the big-media corps, so if they can keep that avenue open then I’d be happy. Frankly I feel like they’ve been the best sports coverage we’ve had in this market since… SportsPage?
didn’t they guest on the show 2 times a week anyway?
