If Putin should be arrested for crimes against humanity in Ukraine, Jim Benning should be arrested for crimes against humanity in Canuck Nation! He hamstrung and kneecapped the team with his ridiculous trades for aging players on lengthly overpriced contracts while giving away the team's future prospects and draft picks. It will take years to repair the crippling damage he's responsible for. For example, he drafted Olli Juolevi over Matthew Tkachuk, 'nuff said. 🤮
Been a big fan of Dunn for a while. I really really wanted Boston to offersheet him back when he was an RFA with STL. They didn't have the money to keep him long term and it was obvious he wouldn't be protected in the coming expansion draft.
As a Kraken fan I can tell you fairly confidently that Vince Dunn has been our best overall player this year. I'm terrified at how much it is going to cost to resign him.
Because Benning thought OEL was the solution to the Canucks defense and he is picking up an additional stud 3rd line defensive center in Dickinson. Bennning is perhaps one of the biggest (if not the biggest) moron ever existed in hockey. He is what I refer to as a dementor for Canucks fan who sucked out all hope and happiness out of the fan base.

Ah yes there good old Jim Benning again protecting his baby Olli Juolevi. This is where scouting failed and the Canucks hung onto a guy who clearly wasn't going anywhere. Teams just have a hard time owning up to mistakes and try for the longest time to make things work. Oh yeah and they also protected Jason Dickson, and let Markstrom walk to free agency.
