Posting this just to mock the stupidity of what you find with `professional` sports writers. It’s good for a LOL.
## 1. Buffalo Sabres | Andrei Svechnikov | RW
> Bengel: There are a few players that warrant consideration for the top pick in this redraft. While Rasmus Dahlin has been tremendous the past two seasons, Andrei Svechnikov makes a ton of sense for the Sabres in this spot. Svechnikov has been a 20-goal scorer in four of his five NHL seasons, including registering a career-high 69 points (30 goals and 39 assists) in 2021-22. **Buffalo could definitely use more scoring depth.**
> Nivison: There is probably a decent case to be made that Rasmus Dahlin should remain the No. 1 overall pick in this draft, **despite the fact that he was a late bloomer.** However, Andrei Svechnikov has been a consistent offensive threat throughout his career. Buffalo does have former No. 1 overall pick Owen Power on the blue line now, and Svechnikov would slot in very nicely alongside the likes of Tage Thompson or Dylan Cozens. That would give the Sabres a pretty formidable top-six.
– Dahlin had the 2nd most points as a teenager in the history of the NHL but one idiot says he was a late bloomer. – Buffalo scored the 3rd most goals in the league last year but the other idiot saoid Buffalo could use more scoring depth.
Like I said, lols.

That is truly laughable. They could have MAYBE made a case for Tkachuk, but that’s it

As a Sabres fan first, Canes fan second, no thanks. He puts up points for the Canes and does have talent but has disappeared in the playoffs when needed. Not to mention the Canes have had nearly 0 offensive weapons during his tenure, so his successes could be seen as an effect of more opportunities.

Funny enough this question was on cannucks board recently and they would take dahlin as well. Both are similar in skill but dahlins size edges him

This is silly… there is one case for 1OA outside of Dahlin and it’s not exactly rock solid

I don’t want Quinn Hughes instead of Dahlin. Dahlin is more two dimensional and is really improving his defense. I don’t know if Hughes is that great in his own end. To be he is a good PP QB

Dahlin is the best player of this draft. You can make a case for Brady Tkachuk, but top D is always more valueable than a winger. I would take Hughes over Svechnikov as well.

I saw that, I laughed out loud. I am beyond happy we drafted Dahlin. The article was a joke.
