10/05/21 – Given everything we know now, it seems like a crazy question: should Josh Archibald have just gotten vaccinated against Covid 19? Given that a summer time encounter with the virus has left him with a heart condition that has now jeopardized his hockey career, the answer seems obviously “yes.”
The matter comes down to a question regarding scale of values. Josh Archibald apparently distrusted vaccines, and he valued his bodily autonomy over professionalism. But given how basic a freedom bodily autonomy is, is it fair to challenge his decisional on an ethical basis?
