  1. The real problem is… Sabres fans have mostly been away due to the long playoff drought… back when they were top of the standings.. this was not a problem as season tickets took up a majority of the building and single game tickets were a small minority… when the fans start getting back to the games… this will no longer be an issue.. it’s been done before in the NFL too…

  2. IMO there’s nothing more obnoxious than a bunch of Toronto fans outnumbering the home fans. Like go get a new hobby other than watching the leafs lol

  3. As a sabres fan I enjoy the mostly friendly banter between fans at these games. Even though I dont like them I can understand leafs fans making the drive though because tickets at sabres games are wayyyyy cheaper than at scotiabank arena so what do you expect.

  4. It seems Buffalo is taking a page from Nashville, which has been doing the same thing for years to Blackhawks fans with their "Get the Red Out" campaign. I understand they also do the same to Blues, Wings, and Blue Jackets fans, to some extent. It's a far cry from the days when Dollar Bill Wirtz used to sell travel packages to Red Wings fans in order to fill up the United Center, rather than focusing on the product he put out on the ice. Once the Hawks started contending, they were able to fill seats with their own fans. I suspect that will be the case with the Sabres soon enough, as well.

  5. I get where theyre coming from but they have to realize since buffalo is so close to the border a lot of people from ontario are sabres fans. Im from ontario, live 30 minutes away from the keybank center, am a die hard sabres fan and have been to many games. All this would do is ostracize a large portion of their own fans

  6. As a Sabres fan living in Southern California, I understand what the Sabres are trying to do.
When we sucked after a decade, nobody wanted to see this team play, & other teams fans showed up.
What the Sabres are doing now, since we are a much better team, is to get Sabres fans in before any other teams fans.
    THEY'RE NOT BANNING LEAFS FANS!!!

  7. I like to thank leafs fans for their money on behalf of the team when they come to Ottawa.. especially when the sens are winning and they start leaving before the games over to beat traffic 😂

  8. In response to Mike Wilson saying it won’t work at all: it’s not about keeping leaf’s fans out, it’s about making sure Sabres fans get access to the best prices first. Leafs fans pay most of the price of Season Tickets over only 2 games. Now they’ll have to pay even more, at the benefit of Sabres fans.

  9. The only reason this is a problem is bc it’s so expensive to go to leafs games so all the leafs fans order tickets like months in advance, I live in buffalo and when you look at the tickets for leafs vs Sabres they always sell out months before the game. People still fail to realize that there are still leafs fans in buffalo. They are just trying to make the market more fair for us residents bc we don’t preorder tickets months before the games bc they aren’t as expensive as games in Toronto

  10. Sabres are getting decent and it's a bad look to have 70% Leafs fans at games. Detroit has the same issue. Crazy thought ice a good team and the home team will come. I'm fine with giving the home crowd first dibs though
