Thompson is coming off of an amazing 47 goal, 94 point campaign and a big reason why he’s been so successful is because he has gotten a ton of confidence from his head coach Don Granato believing in him. Tage is a huge reason why the Sabres over the past year and a half have become one of the most exciting young teams in hockey.

Tage is the classic example of a player with potential, but who needed the right coach to bring out that potential. Don Granato put him together with Tuch and Skinner, and the magic started! With Dahlin making those pin-point passes which Thompson continually converts into one-timer goals, we just have to hope that the injury bug doesn't bite, because a healthy Sabre squad will be a force to be reckoned with this season. LET'S GO, BUFFALO!
