sean day is undisputed world champion of worst ever exceptional status players

for years, veleno has coasted along comfortably in second place

but last season, this young upstart shane wright, steals his thunder and leapfrogs veleno to take 2nd position.

as stands, wright has a commanding lead over veleno, who has slipped down to 3rd place.

veleno established himself as a regular nhler and produced decently.

is this the year where veleno can take back his rightful position from shane wright as 2nd worst ever?

it’s still the off-season folks, no slacking

step up the shit posting this man’s doing his part

which of the lot of you can say the same

edit: take a look in the mirror and honestly evaluate your assets

be truthful with yourself, do you respect what you see, gazing back at you?

The Poison Legstomp would be a killer wrestling move

Was he ever predicted to be anything other than a bottom six forward? Off the top of my head, his ceiling was middle six. If that’s what he turns out to be, I’d say he would end up having a decent career. He’s still only 23 and has room to improve.

What a fuckin troll. I’d love to see you skate.

I’ll use valardi as an example hasn’t done much up until this past year and we was a 17 draft pick so if Veleno is gonna become more than a bottom 6er it’s this year, hense why he wanted a 1 year deal instead of a 2-3 at maybe 1.5 million. I am expecting big things from him this year and even Rasmussen who was cut short with his injury

This status has nothing to do with the NHL and is a status that lasts one day.. CHL draft day. After that he is just a kid trying to become a prospect then a pro.

I was a bit surprised to see how bad his analytics were last season and how Perron took off once moved off his wing. This was from Dobber’s Fantasy Hockey Gudie. If healthy, Veleno hits 200 games this winter IIRC and Dobber has that pegged as when most players breakout. Will be interesting to see what kind of year he has.

I didn’t know this was the Red Wings circle jerk sub

I laughed….then the pain of knowing we blew a 1st on this bum. Thankfully it wasn’t a high pick or 1st that became Vasilevskiy.

Veleno for most improved player! He’s going to get going once we have more talent around him this year. Effort is there for him really see him excelling this year.

Joe Veleno may not be a superstar level player. But he for sure is going to have a long career in the NHL. Very capable 3rd or 4th line 2-way centermen who can get you 20-30 pts a season. That alone surpasses 99.9% of all prospects drafted into the NHL.

Well considering Sean Day was never an NHL player (aside from a two game injury callup), he’s still the 2nd worst.

    The rest are stars.

OP, welcome to the club buddy. You can’t just come in here with real hockey knowledge of it means that you are being honest about a Red Wing. This is a “let’s go team rah rah!” page and most of the contributors know hockey only as fans. Try saying something negative about Larkin here. It’s like trashing God.

Yeah teams did their homework on him to pass throughout the first round.
