The Toronto Maple Leafs have a lot of players expiring after this season. This will make January 1st (extension day) very interesting this season. Will players get extended or will they test the waters of free agency? 1. I want to see Domi extended the most call me crazy but it just seems like the right fit and with the history with his dad I think he will do amazing things here and I hope he gets a chance to play with mitch to see if they have any of that old Chemistry from the Juniors

  2. Extend Bertuzzi once you get the cap figured out for next year. should be a good idea to do so around Christmas 🎄. Bertuzzi and Domi arent going anywhere i agree with you guys.

  3. Again, Not hating , just something id really like to see from your content.
You;ve kinda contradicted yourselves in a big way and something ive noticed about your videos is youre only seeing one side of the coin. I get its your oppinion, however the oppinion has to make sense.

    So
    1. Youre saying youre expecting Bertuzzi to go out and get 30 goals I believe you said. Then you said If the leafs can get him around the same price tag on a long term deal they should sign him..
Well lets be realistic for a second. Bertuzzi averaged apox 14 goals last season. He did well in the playoffs. The guy has not played a full 82 game season since joining the league in 17-18ish. And the leafs signed him to a 1 year 5.5M deal. You're expecting Bertuzzi to go out there and double his goal production, and Im assuming if he does that he woud HAVE to of stayed healthy . so youre expecting him to resign at around the same amount on a longer term deal after matching his career high in goals. while the cap is going up. Its completely farfetched to expect that. And thats why im baffled at all these sources praising Treliving for signing him to a 1 year deal then saying oh well we will just resign him next season if he fits in well.
Well how much do you think the leafs will have to pay him on a 4-6 year deal after "fitting in" I HATE to be the bearer of bad news but its going to be a heck of alot more then 5.5M. After scoring 30 goals you can expect him to get in the 7.5- maybe even 8 ( from the right team/_M range on a 4 year deal.

This is why im baffled at these "sources" trust me you dont think if Toronto could have signed Bertuzzi to a 5 year 5.5M-6M contract they would have?, Yes they would have. The way the leafs need to operate with having alot of money allocated in a few players is sign longer term deals where the second half of those deals are so team friendly its incredible. Ex. Crosby contract, Marchand, Pastas last contract, Kucherovs contract, They have a guy who can score consistently in the top 10 in the league making only 9.5M for another 4 seasons. Hows that contract gunna look when the cap is at 100M.

I think my point is proven with these stars you look at as 'CAnt miss/ YOU have TO lock them down to 8 years. you HAVE TO. Dubas really ewally fumbled the bag allowing this teams stars to dictate the term on these contracts when every other teams stars were signing 8 year deals.. Could you immagine another 3-4 years of Matthews at 11.6, Another 4 years of Nylander at even 8M. Dubas fumbled this core. Theres zero doubt about it and Ultimately I think they had something to do with the release IMO. When Both Matthews and Nylander were up again and their negotiations wernt looking good SHannahan looked at it like hey had we signed them longer this wouldnt be an issue.

  4. Well spoken. Great topic to chat about 🏒🏒 go Leafs go man! Rowwwwwwwwwwwwww it up quidi Vidi!!!!! 🚣‍♂️🚣‍♂️
