  1. Tim Duncan is my GOAT but I love Kevin Garnett I don’t like these type of arguments because it’s not they saw fax is a Base off what if

  2. Whats silly is the Timberwolves from 99 to around 2006-06 were always highly competitive and in the mix. They had a really solid roster and for a short period before manu and parker developed you would argue KG had better roleplayers. The spurs aged out right after the first championship and legit built around him with new players nobody believed in. Wally, sprewell and sam Cassel were solid players and KG always fell short in the playoffs.

  3. Rasho played with both KG and TD. Go ask him who he thought was better… oh he answered that back in 2004. Suffice to say he's not surprised as to who ended up being more accomplished

  4. KG wasn’t better than Duncan. Period. I saw both careers.

  5. KG's game was more versatile than Timmy, but Timmy was the better/more dominant player.

Also, Gil isn't the only one to have this opinion.

  6. ‘O3 Duncan was Autonomous Ultra Instinct activated in the NBA. KG never powered up to that level, ever.

  7. Duncan would have had more stats, a shorter career and less chips in Minnesotta. KG might have got somevrings in SA and less stats.
    Duncan would still be better

  8. Kevin Garnett only got one title with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce who were still in their primes, if you put Duncan with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce in their primes, Duncan is going to get more championships than just one.

  9. I watched both of these guys from the start of their careers. There is no question Tim is the better player. KG jumped higher and yelled louder. Tim won games.

  10. This guy is an idiot. They almost threw him out of the NBA when he brought guns to the arena and threatened a teammate over gambling.

  11. Duncan never had to deal with his owner doing shady joe smith deals under the table which set the franchise back a decade. Duncan never had to deal with a meddling owner who sold off draft picks in favor of player development. KG would have been successful in San Antonio period. Don't know if the chips would stack up the same but the comments downplaying KG is redic.

  12. I dont think Gilbert is debating on who is the better player he is stating that the spurs were the more established team and the better organization so kg had the possibility of winning more rings since he got there earlier than tim

  13. Simple fact they are not talking about which is key : would have KG fit with Manu, tony, Robinson, Diaw, finley, Bowen, Mills etc. ? We dont know but I assume it wouldnt have worked that much, especially regarding chemistry on & OFF the court.

  14. No way KG is better! Tim Duncan established this in 03 when he played like Hakeem winning a league MVP & Finals MVP with title in the same year as the only All Star on his team when he did it. Which is why soooo many ppl consider Hakeem so great in the first place! Debate is over!💯😂 Also i would like to point out Tim Duncan his first season won rookie of the year became a All Star and was 1st team All NBA offense and defensive team.👉 The last player to do that before Tim Duncan was Larry Bird! Thats👉 50+ years! Nobody has done it since Tim Duncan! That is how rare those accomplishments were. There should be no debate which player was better. And last when asked who was the best player at the time in the NBA playing Michael Jordan said Tim Duncan! He said this over Kobe, Shaq, Garnett, Nowitzki, Iverson, etc.. lollol, Gilbert don't know what hes talking about. Tim Duncan also beat Garnett time and time again in the low block which is why Garnett gave a shout out to Tim Duncan in his interview as the one player who talked trash and back it up with his play. Gilbert must have missed that one.😂👍

  15. If KG went to the Spurs and Timmy elsewhere…KG would have helped the spurs to 1 ring and left town in a blaze of glory leaving an old beat up robinson and role players to wither away. Now realized GOAT Tim Duncan then wins 8 of the next 10 Titles with any other squad.

  16. Kevin Garnett had longer shooting range and better athleticism than Tim Duncan, but that doesn't mean he was the better overall player.

  17. I don't understand all this recent NBA history revisionism among some former NBA players and NBA commentators. Maybe it's jealousy or a need for self-aggrandization. Someone recently even said Michael Jordan was overrated.

Maybe people should pay no attention to NBA commentary from a former NBA player who once pulled a gun on a teammate.

  18. Tim beat all these guys asses for years and kept them from winning chanpionships so they're salty
