Who should be Canada’s starting goalie for World Juniors?

With three goalies vying for Canada’s No. 1 job between the pipes, TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button takes a closer look at what Dylan Garand, Sebastian Cossa and Brett Brochu bring to Team Canada.

  1. Remember how craig button tried to convince the tv audience/himself that Marc scheifele was in the same tier as Mcdavid and matthews? That's how valid his opinion is.

  2. All you Cossa big goalie lovers Brochu is THE MAN and will put Garand and Cossa to shame. You want quick feet and hands and like swagger and confidence he's your guy. Just look at his numbers and he has proven everyone wrong everywhere he has played and they wish they had him on their team after the fact.

  3. Oh Craig don’t be so silly. It’s Cossa he’s huge, he’s the best skilled goalie and only one we can say for sure he’s going to be a NHL goalie. There was MAF, there was Carey freaking Price, there was even Carter Hart everyone knew these are future NHL starting goalies and Cossa is no different. Canada would be silly to not play the best goalie in the Tournament as their starter.

  4. Brochu is going to be the 3rd string Cossa I think will be the starter because he’s been lights out with the Oil kings and he was a very high draft pick but in a weaker draft class in 2021, Garand has experience from last year and played in the Hlinka Gretzky cup and Cossa never did. Also I think at camp it should of been a 5 man battle with also Tristin Lennox who was the starter of the Hlinka team with Garand and Talyn Boyko who is 6’8.

  5. WJC TV commentator on TSN are so bad, its like two friend talking of anything instead of describing the game, they barely know the russians players by their numbers, its a shame, if you are not doing a professionnal job, let your place to someone else!

  6. I’m guessing it’s Garand’s net after that rough pre tourney game against Russia by Cossa

  7. Cossa is obviously gonna start but why isn't Devon Levi on the team? He was a beast for them last year.
