Bunting was a liability at times!
For a guy who won't fight and plays the role of a pest, he should draw a lot more penalties than he draws. The refs hate this guy, which is shown by how many people took cheap shots at him and he penalty differential is minimal.
2021-22: 45 penalties drawn, 32 taken, net +13
2022-23: 40 penalties drawn, 38 taken, net +2
we will see how carolina overpayed for a 3rd or 4th line player mathews and marner should get a thank you card from him,his best season is now in the rear view mirror

It is too bad Bunting built negative relationships with NHL officials. In the playoffs – Leafs did better without him because of the officiating against him.
It really hurt to see the upper staff not really put any effort into retaining Bunting, man. He was one of my favourite players on the team. It really does feel like they scapegoated him like they did Kadri, and look where he ended up: holding Sir Stanley.
Who cares about the bum,all he did was cost the team every time he as on the ice.
We all know why hes gone. He knows they cant win, bunch of no-heart, all choke players, that only play for themselves.
Domi at years end will be best pickup so far
First of all bettman wants a cap easily to control everything and secondly asked for a lot of money for things he's done. Good player but needs another year to proof he learns from very bad mistakes before a big contract and thirdly played with big boys. Just my thought I could be wrong
The truth is Bunting wanted a big raise in money, and the Leafs are cap-strapped, and they couldn't afford them . Besides, we've got an upgrade in Tyler Bertuzzi
No real loss. I could have played on that line and scored 20 goals.
