  1. If Scott Harris had been the Red Wings GM the past few years instead of Steve Yzerman, Moritz Seider would still be playing for Grand Rapids this year.

  2. I disagree that this team is being built around Larkin. He's been the best player on the team for 4 or 5 years now but that's about to change with Seider coming into his prime and several of the other prospects look to be better than Larkin. This isn't meant to be a knock on Larkin in any way. I actually think he's worthy of more hype than he receives from much of the hockey press. I just don't think Larkin's contract is any kind of timeframe for winning.

  3. What we need are NHL caliber draft pics. What other professional sports sideline their draft pics for years before playing them? Should we have sent Yzerman to the AHL for a few years just because he was 18? Not only that but we made him the Captain as well. Since when do we just accept the players we get in the draft can't be NHL ready? Are we drafting so low or poorly that we just have to hope someone can make it a few years down the road?

  4. I agree that we should not build our team around Larkin. Building around Moritz and Raymond needs to be the goal. They are the future. Larkin is in his prime, granted, but he should not end up on the first line as center. Those who have been draft these past three years are the ones who need to push and make a point that they belong in a Wings uniform. They are the future with Soderblom and Kasper and Mazur adding to Berggren and Edvinson as the face of our playoff, bound team.

  5. There is a possibility that Patrick Kane could sign with Detroit this season. Imagine Raymond learning from Patrick Kane. He would be the perfect mentor. DeBrincat Larkin Kane
    All-American line would be sick.
