The Calgary Flames were expected to have a busy offseason. They made one trade and signed several AHL players. It was not the offseason fans had hoped for. Elias Lindholm has still not made a decision. Noah Hanifin has not been traded. Neither has Mikael Backlund. The Flames are nowhere closer to where they were at the end of the season. The organization keeps digging deeper, and players are scratching to get out. If Craig Conroy doesn’t act, fans have a right to be cautious. With minimal changes, the Flames are expected to be a competitive team. While the rest of the conference made positive strides, the Flames are slipping and sliding away.

No. They don't have a good team. Will most likely not make the playoffs. And on top they are stuck with shitty long term contracts. A bit like the Canucks in my opinion.
