Habs Thoughts – The Future of Josh Anderson (Friedman Says Teams Interested)

OK Guys, its time to have a chat about the future of the Montreal Canadiens and their forward Josh Anderson right now. Anderson has a lengthy contract, hes said in public that he wants to be a part of the Canadiens long term, and he is fully on board, however, Elliote Friedman claims that he is getting mixed signals on whether the Habs new brass wanna keep Anderson around , and several teams are interested in his services.
If the Price is right, would you move Anderson?

  1. Like hughes said. I don’t want to trade 5-6 guys but if the offers is good, i will do it. Simple as that

  2. Hughes (and company), know they have to keep a few pieces to build off of, they can't just get rid of everyone with any value, I would hope Anderson is safe where he is, but the way he is playing, and his good contract, we could get a good deal for him, but we could keep him, he could play that same line til his contracts done, and then go from there.

  3. He is mostly awesome, when healthy. I'd listen to offers, & maybe do it. Nobody is taking Gallagher unless 2-3M less per yr.

  4. Josh Anderson won't be moved. Guys like are having d to find let alone he wants to be part of the future. Only way that would happen is the same as Tyler Toffoli a first round pick and a prospect.

  5. Josh Anderson is going anywhere, obviously no one other than me was paying attention to his presser before the game other night against TO , " he said Anderson, Caufield and Suzuki will be together for a very long time " , rumors, rumors, rumors,

  6. Marty made a comment that he can see Suzuki Caufield and Anderson as a line for along time so if he has any say in it I doubt you will see him traded

  7. Gotta keep the wild horse. Hard to find guys that wanna play in Montreal, nevermind a power forward. Aka last power forward we had was John LeClair.

  8. They better keep Andy. Who’s taking care of #14 & #22

  9. I had said before the Toffoli trade that he could've gone out for something valuable, which he did, but also that he was valuable to the team. That situation was different. Toffoli's value was too high to waste. Anderson also has value, but his contract will scare away teams. He's the kind of guy who is perfect to mentor the kids. He seems a good fit as a leader. Maybe even make him captain. He's locked up long term. There are plenty of other guys you can move to get more picks and prospects. Anderson is a keeper. I want to see him stay.

  10. I think it would be a big mistake to trade him He's a natural talented leader on the ice for the younger players plus he's the type of player that would hard to replace! He's a sure thing!

  11. Anderson is the real thing. How long have we been waiting for a big forward who can Score. Hit ,has speed and a great attitude. Future picks we have and had. Always trying to get someone like him. He wants to be here, no brainer count our blessings and build around our best.

  12. Someone would have to have rocks in there head to let Josh go. Guys like Josh are very very hard to come by. He would make a great captain. ( Go Habs GO)

  13. I agree. Anderson aint going anywhere…….only chance would be if the Habs were offered the house and car along with the kitchen sink for him….

  14. I think if he wants to stay for the rebuild then keep him! Guys like him don’t grow on trees but if the price is right and we’re in a rebuild then stack up the first round picks! We’ll need veterans to help younger guys!

  15. I think Suzuki is more likely to be the next captain than Anderson. A similar situation to Hischier in New Jersey. Also, are you Irish?

  16. I realllyyy wanted to come out of this disaster season with Taffoli and Anderson with us. Taffoli already gone, please God let us keep Anderson.

  17. Habs need to keep him his speed and toughness open up space for Suzuki and Caufield he forces opposing defenders to rush their plays creating turnovers. I think Caufield and Suzuki play with more confidence when Anderson is on the wing.

  18. The problem i am sure is that team are more interested in Anderson then say Galley and others for one reason or another, Similar 2 Toffoli! So Gorton and Hughes are weighing the pro's and cons.

  19. I've been Habs fan all my life, they would be crazy to get rid of a star player ,scores fights they have no grit or someone to stand up for the other boys he's all around player with class,& skill toughness u be a fool Gorton to trade him!!!!! Keep the best player u have…maybe get ten more like him then there will another cup in Montreal….9

  20. If they want to trade that Drouin, waste of money always injured ,plays the permitator weak, not worth there paying him just cause he's French, let's get off that wagon& go for players who r going tt bring a cup to Montreal…..

  21. Completely agree. But Montreal loves to get rid of their best.
Never thought I'd agree with Gallagher comment…

  22. Agreed! re Matews! maybe thats why he crossed checked Dahlin in the head ? Hes BROKEN….and he gets TWO lousy games? hmmmm……..
