Yupp, again very clearly doing everything to not alienate the american market. If anyone on a Canadian team tried to do that he'd miss at least the 6 next games in the season or 3-4 in the playoffs.

NHL player safety is a joke, if they really cared about player safety these suspensions wouldn't be so light. Guy gets cross checked to the face, only 1 game suspension….
Sad. Should get a least 5 games. Maybe more. I guess you have to go down and wait for a stretcher to get suspended in the U.S. market. Getting harder to watch a NHL game and enjoy it.
let's removing fighting and replace it with face carving with no consequences, so FUN to watch. Also Bruins should be immune to penalties and suspensions really
