Anyone more familiar think this could be a season long GM interview?

Dubas was stretched really thin. This will help quite a bit.

We have a ton of analytical minds in the front office. Not the worst thing in the world to have a guy from more of a traditional background and experience.

Holy shit. Dubas is really building an impressive front office. FSG isn’t afraid to spend money. I love this.

Those Sharks teams were consistently good under him. Unfortunate they couldn’t win a cup during any of it. Part of that was our fault 🙂

Welcome doug.

He made some incredible moves in SJ. And some Great draft picks too. Great hockey mind.

“Wilson will join the team at home and on the road at various points during the season and offseason, and will provide guidance and mentorship to all levels of hockey operations.”
Kind of a weird sentence. Makes it almost seem like a part time job.

The way I see it, the bulk of the roster moves have already been made, and this might be our last year in the playoffs before the rebuild.
So at this point, there’s likely not much damage (or much good) someone in a role like this can do at this point.
That at least pertains to the competitive window. If he’s staying for a while, he at least can have a decent hand in the direction of the rebuild. Depends how long until he retires.

God damn we just stay winning this off-season. Wilson is a gem. I hope he’s feeling good and in better health than he was when he had to step down as GM for the sharks.
