Dan Milstein – agent for Ilya Mikheyev – recently appeared on Sekeres & Price and suggested that it’s not a guarantee that Mikheyev will be 100% to start the Canucks season.
While obviously not the best news, it’s more important that Mikheyev returns to full health before playing. After all, it’s a marathon and not a sprint!

What do you think of Dan Milstein's comments? And where would you slot a healthy Mikheyev into the line up?
People forget Mikheyev was a stud for us before the injury. i hope he's ready to play in October
Hey Clay I was wondering if this is part of the injury he came from Toronto with. If it was corrective surgury we better hope it fixes the problem and it does not recur. If that is the case them I hope for a big return. Mainly because he seemed to have a issue for a couple of years. In a way this could be big for our team. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Has a leaf's player to the Canucks ever worked out? other than tiger Williams of course. i hope he gets healthy and displays the speed he had vs McDavid.
Mikheyev is so valuable, if misses any more than 10 games, the Canucks will be a .500 team and miss the playoffs.
They are on razor's edge. If even one of their top 9 players is out of the lineup with an injury, the house of cards will collapse.
Their roster looks like a virtual AHL squad.
Oh no he rest. He play more games when not half injured. We stop having a bunch of half injured players playing at 50%.
I would throw Mikheyev on the 2nd line with Miller and Boeser by default, and have Beauvillier on the top line to start out, but in all honesty, Mikheyev missing some time shouldn't sink the team's penalty kill when we have other guys like Blueger and Suter now in the fold. Even the likes of Joshua, Aman, and Di Giussepe didn't look too shabby at 4 on 5
