Patrick Johnston on Canucks training camp PTOs, Myers staying after bonus payment, Pearson healthy

Patrick Johnston joined the guys to talk about what changes there might be to J.T. Miller now that his extension has kicked in. The guys also discuss if the Canucks will keep Tyler Myers around after his bonus is paid out and if Tanner Pearson is ready to take a spot in the lineup despite his hand injury and the cap ramifications that would come with that. With informal skates underway, could we see the Canucks add a few PTOs prior to training camp commencing?

  1. Playing a guy like Pearson in the top six is why they don't make the playoffs anymore. He is slow and has no shot, the game has passed him by

  2. No contender has the cap room for Myers at the trade deadline, so he has to go now. Put Myers in Abby at the very least. Hope Sj takes him.

  3. He shouldn't expect AHL games if he comes in and earns a spot. May happen anyway but handing a spot to any of the kids who don't deserve is a mistake; often made here.

  4. RE: Tanner Pearson its pointless to spend this much time speculating until you actually see him play. My guess is he'll be back on this team unless they just want to clear a spot for a younger forward.
