  1. would be hard for them to move Marchand with his trade clause anyways this year I don't see them moving him unless he wants to leave but I'd bet he wants to retire as a Bruin down the road

  2. dvo is on sale!
middle six center, can be had for a couple mid picks at most.
    no like?
try… evans. he can be had for a later pick.

  3. I think the only one to be moved realistically would be debrusk. If marchand was moved I believe he would just retire I dont think he wants to play anywhere else and the bruins will move ullmark before they move on from swayman

  4. Or you wait one season when you have massive cap space and those 2 are free agents, the new core is actually young with the exception of marchand

  5. I think there is a lot to be said about the bruins success without bergeron/krecji in the end of last years season. And their failures with them on the ice in the round 1 series against florida. I think they were washed a lot sooner than most bruins fans will come to terms with, and the bruins could of done better by sitting the older Bergy & Krecji duo in the post season. It'll be interesting to see how the new center 1-2 punch will adjust, and there might be a lack of face-off wins this year vs last for the bruins, but I wouldn't count them out before they had a chance to get started. Thanks for reading.

  6. As a Devils fan, Zacha has always been awful at center. He's always played his best hockey on the LW, which is where he was with Krejci and Pasta for all of last season. Boston is screwed. I think they're tanking this year. I'm expecting us to trade Vanecek for either Swayman or Hart by the deadline.

  7. As a Bruins fan I would be happy if the bruins tanked for good draft picks, if we didn’t keep giving away 1st round draft picks for guys who don’t even play 30 games in the Spoked B. We are too desperate to lose Marchand or DeBrusk. I think a management change would be just what the doctor ordered

  8. Adjustment to scoring by committee, top guys producing like they can and that defence + goalie tandem holding like they can and the B's will be a wild card team just so that we can all be surprised and frustrated about it.

It is the most frustrating time for a team, being too good to go on a teardown rebuild and being just good enough to make it to the dance as is.

Retooling on the fly comes with a big risk, what if you get players that don't adjust to your systems or don't find chemistry? You've wasted assets and draftcapita that you desperately need for nothing and you won't get the same value back on those players after a down year.

  9. I feel like Marchand is going to stay to retire as a Bruin over anything else. Even if the perfect deal comes, it's going to take a lot to move him out of Boston.

  10. Trade Ullmark for Scheifele + (since the jets don't have leverage) while his value is off the roof and start Swayman. I don't see them having any other trade asset they should part ways with. What they really need rn is a 1c, their wings are ok, their d is pretty alright, and Swayman is good enough.

Ultimately they should sell imo but if they wanna stay relevant it starts with trading Ullmark away for a 1c.

  11. I agree that the Bruins have definitely regressed on paper and are likely to miss the playoffs with the way the Atlantic is shaping up this season, but I guess time will tell. Cheers
