I guess now we ask whether he will hit 500 before his career is done.

  1. Great channel and important NHL video. Blackhawks fan here, but always had soft spot for Pittsburgh teams (fav uncle growing up sent me gear). Malkin is amazing! He is the reason why I love the NHL. Incredible skill and great guy. Crosby and Malkin one of the greatest duos in NHL history.

  2. Geno is adjusting to his age, and to the younger bigerr NHL, and the Pens might well win another cup. Ovi is 2nd best Sov, please no argument, and WASH fans can now go back to being like Leafs fans, and wait for about 6o yrs. for another cup.

  3. I have a good as Crosby and Ovechkin are. I think when Malkin is playing at his highest level he's the best player in the league and the best player out of his generation when he plays at that high level

  4. He would be at approx 1355 points right now if he would have played every game of every season with his current points/game which is about 1,181. Insane

  5. It's a luxury to have 2 1st line quality centers for a decade. Teams that have it win cups. Geno is a guy everyone wanted on their team. Hall of fame numbers and should have his jersey retired in Pittsburgh

  6. Would be nice to see playoff stats for each year. Great vid otherwise, keep it up

  7. I have watched every single game Malkin has ever played as a Penguin. When everything is clicking and he decides to take over a game, he is unstoppable. When he overcame the preseason injury in his rookie season and got to play his first few games, I thought "Holy crap! This guy is going to be another Mario!"

  8. Pens fan: one of my favorite penguin players of all time. He can take over a game and plays better when he is the go to guy which point totals show when Crosby is out. As much as I would love to see him continue his career as a penguin I want to see him be the number one center on another team at some point. He is top 100 of all time and will be in the hall for sure.

  9. I have watched a lot of great players (mainly Swedish) live, Crosby included but I’ve never been as impressed by how dominant a player have been then I was when I watched him against Sweden during the 2012 world championship, and that was against a really really good Swedish, since then he’s been one of my favourite players to watch

  10. Malkin is a beast! I agree with everything you've said..he reminds me of Jagr, in the shadow of another great talent. Should have been in the top 100.

  11. He might not be one of the best centers of all time…
But he's definitely one of the hardest workers, and that ain't just centers.
Period. End of discussion. Guy plays as hard as anyone that has ever skated.

  12. The best ability is availability. Love him or not, his health or lack thereof, is a nock on him. That is what makes Ovi and his 650+ goals and 1200+ points even more incredible. The fact that as physical as he has been his entire life, (#3 all time in hits) he has only missed 12 games due to injury his entire 14 year carrier.

  13. For me, the single greatest what-if in hockey is if the Penguins win the 04 draft lottery where they had the best odds. Crosby gets teamed with Ovechkin, and Malkin gets to be his own superstar in Washington.

  14. So many Lightning milestones this year despite the season. Do you wait until players are older to do their milestone videos? Not a complaint, just wondering.

  15. Malkin is such a fun player to watch. I saw him score #400, and you could tell he really didn’t feel well that game but still played well. Congrats to him.

  16. Franchise not generational. To me there should only be a generational per era. Because that player is clearly the best among his generation.

  17. What I love about Geno is the type of "team" guy he has always been. Has never bitched about being in Crosby's shadow, has slid into the drivers seat everytime Sid has been out and with no attitude has moved back to shotgun. Compare that to say someone like Antonio Brown and many others. He could have easily gone to another team and been the "guy" but has taken on his role as second to Sid. That kind of player deserves those 3 Cups. Far too many Pens fans have taken Malkin for granted.

  18. I feel like the reason he doesn't turn it on all the time is because he knows he doesn't have to all the time because Crosby can carry, and he turns it on when he has to. when Crosby is hurt, not playing his best, or just in the playoffs

  19. I'm from pittsburgh and I remember reading something about Malkin a while back that said that where most "superstar" Athletes want top billing and all of the attention and want to be the face of the team he is happy being behind Crosby.. with Crosby being 1A and Malkin being 1B

  20. Still averaged over a point a game during that crummy season to his standards..As of this moment. He's an MVP Candidate and missed 13 more games than the others practically..And has played like 39 games this yr. And has almost 60 points! Most without Sid. He is godlike when Sid's outta the lineup
