Certainly the best window to trade Lindholm (if they wanted to) would’ve been prior to the previous draft, but wouldn’t a new window open up towards the trade deadline? Is he saying the window to trading Lindholm is forever closed or am I just misinterpreting what he is saying?

Just get it done either way.
He should be super movable later in the year though. The deadline cap rules and his low hit will make him practically free.
Would be ideal to trade him ahead of the trade deadline. Worst case scenario is they’re “fighting for a playoff spot” come the deadline and the flames keep all of the UFA’s that then leave the organization for nothing.
