Boston Bruins Sign Anders Bjork to Three Year Contract Extension

The Boston Bruins sign forward Anders Bjork to a three year contract extension worth 1.6 million per season. Don Sweeney signs one of his many RFA’s to a team friendly deal the day before their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. This will help them sign other RFA’s like Jake DeBrusk and Matt Grzelcyk and potentially help them to keep UFA Torey Krug. In this video I give my thoughts on Anders Bjork and this deal.

  1. Wow. Did not see that coming. Bjork doesn't impress me, but I hope he can prove me wrong… not that he's trying to impress me. lol.
Now go to work on a Torey Krug contract, a genuine impact player.

  2. I think 1.6 for where he is at this moment is a bit much. But if he can truly can start to play full seasons with the bruins. It could turn into an I sane bargain if the chemistry with Coyle continues to grow. Also thoughts on Coyle as seventh man?

  3. I had him around $1.5M AAV, so not too far off. I like this signing. Would like to see DeBrusk sign a similar deal like Carlo a bridge deal 3-4 years for around $3.5M AAV. Krug I would like him to sign 6 years for $6.5M AAV, anymore term or money and I think they trade his rights, although I would trade Krejci and Moore to keep Krug.

  4. I am huge fan of this signing, he’s still an rfa when its complete instantly making any trade value a bit higher also. Looking like don may be an amazing gm. I can forgive some things done if he continues to pull off stuff like this. Makes Krug signing more realistic, we really need to see what JD is looking for. I think 3 mill for 2 or 3 years? Under value but ideally that’s a nice bridge deal for both parties. What do you think? #keepkrug2020
