  3. Wow prospect ranking is such a wild guess. I’ve seen us ranked 2nd 3rd 5th and now 12th

12 is low for me. I think the latest you can argue is like 10. They’ll have teams like Nashville and Minnesota ahead and I just can’t see the argument for that rn.

  5. The biggest issue with our prospect pool is our top pick from last year, Slaf, has already graduated, and we are the only team to have done so. Losing a 1stOA pick in any pool will immensely diminish the strength of it.

  6. AmsroII

Being this low means some of our better prospects are now NHLers.

  7. WintertimeLivingEasy

Aside from Hutson and Reinbacher the quality of the prospect pool is pretty mid, I think it’s why people are ranking the habs so low.

  8. ChrisvsWorlds

For anyone wondering why we dropped from last year’s ranking. Here are the players on the list last year who graduated.

    1. Juraj Slafkovsky
    2. Kaiden Guhle
    5. Justin Barron
    8. Jordan Harris
    13. Jesse Ylonen
    15. Arber Xhekaj

Meanwhile, we added these players to our pool this year.

    1. David Reinbacher
    9. Jacob Fowler
    22. Luke Mittelstadt
    23. Florian Xhekaj
    24. Bogdan Konyushkov

  9. I’m starting to get tired of those prospects pool rankings.

They don’t really mean much. There’s no trophy for “best prospect pool”.

We know what we have. It’s heavy in defensemen with upside, low on top shelf forwards.

  10. hockeynoticehockey

If as few as 3-5 of that list develop into full time NHL’ers this will be a contending team, and for a while. Laval will be as interesting to watch this year as the Canadiens.

Here it is straight up: our prospect pool is #1 et ça sent LA COUPE 25!
