  1. wtf ahahah. I'm looking at MB's trade and how people would have wanted his head if he was doing those kind of trade. I mean like the Marc Staal one or Nick Bjuqstad or even the rumors of Devan Dubnyk with SJ. wooooow….

  2. Why did you use a picture of Colin Murphy in the thumbnail

    Edit: nice quick fix lol

  3. Maatta is definitely a useful D-man but at 4 million this is just a cash dump.

I just looked at there capfriendly and I didn’t realize they had that little cap space.

  4. As an LA fan I’ve always like Matta and am happy that he’s joining this club. And I hope Morrison can play for the Hawks cause was not gonna play in LA

  5. This is the exact player the Kings needed to get. Ive been saying for the Kings they just need to do one thing this offseason and that is to get a LD to round out the Dcore. Not a Defenseman thats really good that is going to be hard to trade for, but a defenseman that is relatively young, has a bit of term on his contract, and a player that could ideally gel with the team more so Drew.
Hutton simply did not work on this team and he especially didn't play all that well with Doughty. But with Maatta I could honestly see him playing on the top pairing next to Drew.
Our Dcore could look like Maatta Doughty, Anderson Roy, Bjornfot Walker. This Maatta move is perfect bc he could just as easily play with any of the other RD's on out team. And to only give up Morrisson, I am very happy about this trade.

  6. That's a weird trade from LA's perspective. For eating that much cap (I mean whats Maatta actually worth as a 5-6 dman? 2 million max?) Even with Chicago eating .75 he's still making 1.25 over value. Seems to me you should at least get a b tier prospect or a 3rd-4th round pick for that. Why would you do it and add a throw away prospect? Seems they did Chicago a huge favor for very little gain. Don't get it at all.

  7. Good trade for both teams Chicago gets cap space and la fills there biggest positional need and his contract with browns and carters expires in two seasons when the kings will actually need their cap space and it’ll be 14 million in total coming off the books
