Shift by shift footage of Alexander Holtz (#9 in white) making his AHL debut in regular season action against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on April 24, 2021. Holtz (2020, 1st round) is a high-end goal scoring talent and recently signed his Entry Level Contract with the New Jersey Devils. As part of the deal, Holtz will play the remainder of the 2020-2021 season in the AHL with the ELC officially starting in the 2021-2022 season.

Was at this game. Holtz looked smooth!
First time seeing this. Holtz looked like he was trying to get rid of the puck every time he touched it. I wonder if that’s improved since this was his first pro game. Not that he necessarily made poor passes but he seemed like he didnt want to go for a skate with it.
Also side note I felt bad for the announcer every time he brought up the Devils moving to Utica, sounded salty.
