I think the sanderson deal is stupidā¦. Too early to lock in at that high a numberā¦ First, Power does NOT become a RFA until next summer AND heās not even offersheet eligibleā¦ less than zero leverageā¦ a 3 year $4Mil/yr deal then lock him up on the 8 year dealā¦ why pay 8 for the first 3 when you can get him at 4.
Power 7m for 7 years. To hell with the Sanderson contract, stress to him that that was an overpayment.
I think Adams should have had Powers signed before now. But I think Powers should get appox 8.5 million to 9 for 8 years.
Power could go to Adams and bring up Sanderson's new contract as leverage. But Adams can come back with both Tage's and Cozens's contracts to convince him to go lower. Power seems like a good guy who wants to win more than make a little more money. Or at least I hope so.
Iām saying power gets 8.5 dahlin gets 10.5 and Iām good with that also I like that we have 8 million in cap so if we need a player at the deadline for a playoff push or pat kane signs a 1 year 5 million
Power will only go up in value. Get him locked in sooner than later. No more than 9 mil.
I mentioned Sanderson in your first video, not seeing you made a Powers video. Yeah OTT really put us in a headlock in regards to how much Dahlin and then Powers is gonna cost us.
I like 6 mill for power . Its a huge raise for him. Like we did with Dahlin.

9 million a year for power isnāt crazy. We can wait but the price may go to over 10 million if we wait another year. You said that this is our Stanley Cup blue line. I agree. Lock him up.

You wonder if Adams had his ear to the ground and knew the Sanderson deal was coming. If that were true he'd of gotten out in front of it and locked in Power. I think your right….Power will get around 9mil over 8 years. These 2 major signings will make people understand why we werent out throwing money at big name players last year. We need to manage that cap because its going to go fast. Cannot wait for camp to start!! This is the first year, ever, Ive looked more forward to the Sabres than the Bills… and i ā¤ the Bills!!
We got to get it done give power the eight year extension give Dahlin his extension. We'll have our defensive car locked in for pretty much the next decade
Power is not looking at Sanderson right now gentlemen. He's looking across the room to Rasmus. If Dahlin get's 10.5, Power is not going to sign this year for a discount. He's going to go out and have a monster season and try to get 10+/8 next year.
I think it comes down to what power can live with. His agents are probably pushing him to make as much money as possible, but Iām sure he also sees the potential in winning Stanley Cups with the Sabres.

If he wants more than 9 mil, bridge deal similar to Dahlin for 3 or let it go to next year and see what he does after rookie season and lock him in for 8.
Begging for a bridge deal until Jeffās contract can be renegotiated, let him compare to dahlin and pay him accordingly. Prove it, we shouldnāt be paying players for their potential ceilings for 4 years to save 1-2 million in cap space down the road. Wait until heās 24/25 to lock him down for his prime instead of waste cap space now. Heās not going to be given 15 million in 2-3 yearsā¦
