  1. Baseballalready has different rules for the regular season and the postseason Mr Boar's Head. You have been asleeping again not knowing that there is no ghost runner in extra innings of post season games. You can go back to sleep now.

  2. Must go to roboumps. Hard to take a sport seriously that gets 25-30 calls wrong in a well-umpired game. Every day on a full card, 3-4 games are decided by bad umpiring in high leverage situations

  3. MIKE
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG ABOUT ROBOT UMPIRES.
WHAT THE HELL IS OK ABOUT BLOWN CALLS????!!!!
THE GAME IS BETWEEN 2 TEAMS
NOT 2 TEAMS AND AN INCOMPETENT WHO MAY BLOW A SERIES

SINCE WHEN DID IT BECOME OK TO MAKE MISTAKES ???
Mike luv ya but come back to me babe.

  4. For anyone that doesn’t like the idea of challenging balls and strikes – watch a Triple-A game and you will love it. It’s such a relief to no longer worry about getting screwed by a bad call. And the challenges add a fun element of strategy. It’s been an unequivocal success in AAA baseball. Players and fans love it. It pretty much eliminates the possibility of a plate umpire deciding a game with a bad call. And it ensures the zone is fair for everyone throughout the game

  5. how abt saying all players are failures at . 260 avg + below..?… these guys' concept in the box… is absurd… like Mike says… why does a guy get in box and swing at 1st pitch aftr prev batter walked on 4 pitches… but you see it throughout the whole league… top to bottom…..!!. . and yes !!… you do fire hitting coaches… for a player being afraid on having a called strike against him..!!…. YOU DO.. fire him..!

  6. To think a coach knows absolutely everything that is going on with players especially wrong doing by the players is absurd. You never know everything. A standup coach who’s history has been very admirable is now accountable for adult student athletes behavior off the field? Where are the arrests of the players as well as accountability for the rest of the coaching staff and school administrators?

  7. Francesa & Dog both think hitting instructors are meaningless is mindless. I guess you have to understand hitting to know all hitters can use a set of eyes to see necessary adjustments. Hitting is about adjustments when you’re failing 70+% of the time.

  8. Get rid of the man on 2nd in extra innings for regular season also. It is all about action and pace of play. Why alter extra innings when it is the most exciting? Makes no sense. It will still be a short game.

  9. Totally agree with everything Mike said about hitters not being smart, never taking a strike when you need baserunners, making the pitcher throw a strike when he’s been wild etc. there is no more common sense.

  10. Sean Casey is a terrible choice. For one thing, he's not too bright. For another, he was a terrible clutch hitter.

  11. If anyone is interested, after Tampa started 13-0, they've been 45-35 since then, a winning percentage of .563, which would be a 91 win season. Of course they're on pace for much better because of the 13-0 start. But realize that they are actually tied with Baltimore right now in the loss column – the Rays have played four more games then Baltimore has, and have four more wins, but the same number of losses. Baltimore could actually win this division. Either way, the Yankees are unlikely to finish above third place, and there is a tiny chance that they finish in last. After all, they are only one game behind Toronto and one ahead of last place Boston. But they should finish ahead of both Boston and Toronto, right?

  12. I think for next year they should adjust the pitch clock to give the pitchers more time, i think some top pitchers are having a tough time and velocity seems down the clock is too taxing, I would add another 5-10 seconds to the pitch clock

  13. I agree . Leave umps alone. Not to sound to soft but these umps are all guys who live the game like us.
