Contract status isn’t going to affect Helle. He’s going to be his Vezina level self for yet another season. Scheifele still won’t play defence, but I could see him scoring 40 again but being a point a game player again
I don’t see why the PK would fall off, they replaced the likes of Saku and Kuhlman with Iafallo, Kupari and Nino if Bowness has him killing penalties
On paper, this roster should be good enough to finish top-3 in the central. If Helle plays as he can, their PK stays elite and team defence proves, there’s no reason they can’t compete for a division spot
The depth is as good as it’s been since 17/18, and they still have high end talent in the top-6. I expect Perfetti to have a big, healthy year, and Vilardi will only get better with more ice time and more opportunity
The “new coach” bump wore off after christmas last year, so i don’t see that being an issue this season
