  1. Chychrun is an unreal defensemen stuck on a bad team. Unfair trade, judging by the title

  2. Lol if Ken Holland did this it’s 2005 all over again and Edmonton needs to start planning a parade.

  3. terrible trade imo. Even if you really wanted Chuchryn it wouldn't be Broberg. Don't want a repeat of Chairelli.

  4. 100%. Oilers are in win now mode and adding a piece like Chycrum, with his current contract especially, would significantly help them turn from fringe contender into a true contender.

  5. I’m not an oilers fan, but I’m a huge fan of Jakob and if he went to an actual good team (sorry Arizona) he would do so well, I think a potential future Norris winner maybe

  6. A Chychrun trade could be huge(if Holland can win the trade), but if Holland trades Broberg for M.A.F(rental) all while considering what the Hawks paid to get him and what the Oilers are paying for Keith I 100% think Holland gets ran out of town unless there is an immediately impact starting game 1 after the trade.

  7. Been an oiler fan since the 80s here's how I see it. If there's a trade to be made with arizona I would offer better pick compensation and try to hold onto broberg. Maybe a samorukov two firsts and a roster player… Yamamoto perhaps.

  8. Edmonton in on Chychrun would be huge if they can land a goaltender first. They are not going far until they fix goaltending and that’s going to cost them fortunately Koskinen 4.5m is off the books next year because he is over paid

  9. Chychrun is locked up for 3 more years after this. If the oilers want to win now they make this deal. Can’t wait forever during the mcdavid/draisaitl era. Plus I think having a real 2LD would help keith regardless of him being overpaid

  10. Oilers need to lock in a top Goalie !!! Thats what really lacking .. goaltending is completely up and down and inconsiderate

  11. Shitty deal Jakob can’t defend if his life depended on it they’d be throwing a prospect who’s a year out of nhl ready away for another Tyson Barrie you can’t win in the playoffs by being offence only
