Oh quit your belly achin', that was a good clean open ice hit. Trouba threw his shoulder in and Meier put his head down into it. Knocked the gloves right off him.
Must be why Meier told Trouba in the handshake line that he got him with a good one…..and if the Devils really thought it was a dirty hit why didn’t someone like Severson who was on the ice when it happened go after him? It’s not going to be the same sport if you take hitting out of the game and this kind of read on that play is kind of rich from a team that for years carried Scott Stevens on their roster.
