  1. Watch the tape. Nakobe was awful. It was clear there was no communication. Who’s responsibility is that? The green dot. The middle of the field was wide open. Who’s fault is that? Middle linebacker. It’s done. He’s a special teamer

  2. Now 2 days have gone by I realize it's WAY too early to make judgments. This was the starters 1st game since last year. Dean played as well as any defensive player outside Carter and perhaps Blankenship. But now with Dean out we need some kind of depth at MLB. Give Ellis his shot.

  3. Cant keep getting by with average LB play and expecting dominant D line against every team. What happens when we cant get consistent pressure and these LB's cant make up in coverage or against the run. I know its only week 1 but…

  4. Bill Belichick is the best defensive mind ever in football. The reason Nick Foles did so well was Bellichick didn’t game plan to stop Nick Foles he game planned to give Nick Foles the opportunity to beat them
 and stop the Eagles run.

  5. We're not going to see Zach Wilson 4 more times in prime time. They're going to get flexed out

  6. They should just play with 1 linebacker and 3 safeties or 5 down linemen

  7. I was in toms River, New Jersey with my girlfriend at the time during the game with Randall got hurt against Green Bay. Remember it vividly.

  8. Dave is the podcast version of Officer Krupke trying to keep Rube in line and away from historical tangents.

  9. Two things, Jalen could have thrown away two balls that turned into sacks, and that zero blitz playing zone behind it was impressive
maybe we could do that? Love the podcast from LSU country and go birds

  10. Howie needs to sure up the middle of the defense, with a Stud LB like Devin white, our grab a stud safety like Budda Baker something has to be done cause this ain’t it

  11. One day, when the NFL has collapsed or been outlawed, Thursday night games will be looked upon as one of the main reasons.
PS. I do not want to see that happen.

  12. Don't know why, but im seeing a D. Burgess kind of carrier for Dean. Im not judging his play, I have not seen enough to know. But his size kind of makes me see it this way.

  13. We should've traded w the Ravens for QUEEN!!!
He's a BEAST and would've instantly been an upgrade.
    I just knew we'd pull trigger.😱
Now look at what we're left with……

  14. the over-correction is coming! after so many seasons of playing around at lb we’re going to have to make some major moves to address it this offseason (unless one of the lb’s on the team now becomes a star in season).

  15. Howie is one of the top GM’s in football, but not finding a true long-term answer at the inside linebacker position definitely holds the defense back from what they feel it can be. They need a guy at that spot who fly around the field and cover tight ends. A big LB trade definitely has to be made if the defense wants to be taken seriously.

  16. Until they had to get out there and do it, it felt like they had governor installed with an eye towards avoiding plays that get people hurt. It didn’t play out well, but where the ball was going and who had it felt intentional. Nobody has the NFL’s all time yards-per-attempt runner, but doesn’t dress unless they think they can skate by without.

  17. Before anybody gets too down, they should consider getting a đŸŽŸïž to the Jalen Carter hype train! I’m showing up to watch him maul people no matter what!

  18. How stupid do you have to be to schedule a Sunday night game and Thursday game for the same team back to back

  19. What irritates me! Is when you speak of football and guys coming in. You guys make it seem like it's rocket science! It's football if you've ever played the game it's really not that difficult, talent level separates most guys.. these players been playing since they were kids

  20. Welcome to the “Negadelphia” podcast. You would think, after not playing any of their starters in the preseason, in a monsoon, on the road, against Belichek on Tom Brady Day, they LOST. Nope, we won, though all that adversity. Minnesota lost AT HOME to the Bucs! This is a pretty easy double digit win. Good lord.

  21. Cousins threw for 344 yards and Jefferson caught 9 balls and they only scored 17 points. That tells me something. Plus the Vikes’s D lost to Baker Mayfield.
