Adam Lowry is the perfect man for Winnipeg. Absolutely happy to see him rise to the challenge. The moment I lost respect for Scheifele was that hit on Jake Evans.
A slap in the face to Scheiffle for sure. The guy scored 42 goals last season compared to Lowry's 13 goals. I know it's not all about goals and points and a lot to do with character BUT STILL damn…what a slap in the face.
As you noted….hell be gone next year and he's still a very productive scorer. He won't have any problem signing with a team looking for a gritty top end scorer to make a run for the Cup. I thought maybe the Bruins would go after him…i think he'd be a great fit in Beantown.

To me, Scheifele seems like a guy who is bitter about his pay. The situation is a lot like Nathan MacKinnon: 8 year deal overpaid when he signed it, then very quickly turned to underpaid. The difference in attitude is part of the reason MacKinnon is a Cup winner with a huge contract and Scheifele isn't.

Ya, I remember when Scheifele was all that for the Jets. It all started going downhill after he ran Evans in that playoff against Montreal in 2021 and his handling of that situation. He outed himself as an absolute bone head with that one. 100% not captain material, if he ever was.
